Missoni for Target

On September 13th you will be able to find me in a Target with arms full of amazing designs... Missoni designs to be accurate.

The amazing Target has done it again and teamed up with yet another designer to create a collection for ladies on a budget.

Missoni for Target is already gaining lots of buzz and I am sure I will have to fight some girls at the racks to get the best sweaters on opening day. I have been waiting patiently for photos of all the designs and today was my lucky day. They finally posted photos on Target's website and honestly they are drool worthy.

Bright colors mixed into fall staples... Sweaters, cardigans, knit shorts, skirts, a robe, and even cute rain-boots are just a few of the amazing pieces in this collection. And I want them all!

I will have to drag Brian with me to go shopping (I bet he is thrilled). Otherwise I may go crazy and be in BIG trouble when my Target Card bill comes in the mail. I will have no self control... none!

These designs make me so happy for the arrival of fall. I better be sporting one of these cardigans all Autumn long! September 13th... can't come too enough!

Check out all the designs here

hello colorful amazing flats... you will be mine!

They even have house wears like these retro looking vases.

Gimme Gimme More...

It is the middle of August... time for me to start thinking about my fall wardrobe. I obviously mostly wear what I did last year (I'm not made of money!) but I do love to update with some new shoes and some new accessories. I can not explain how excited I am for fall and wearing sweaters and boots and scarves... lots of scarves.
One thing on my wish list for fall would have to be... this beauty!
So I have been eyeing these shrugs since last season and have tried my best to contain my obsession... but a girl can only be good for so long. I need this shrug for fall. I would love to wear it over t-shirts or tanks to work, but also over dresses for special occasions. They come in a bunch of colors -- decisions decisions.

This Etsy site in amazing and I suggest that everyone check it out. But be careful.. you may become obsessed.

I also would love to have one of these chain scarves in my fall wardrobe.
I love the style...a giant cozy chain necklace.
The best kind of accessory...especially if it is in yellow!

Twirl and Twirl

Sometimes a girl just needs to put on a long flow-y skirt and spin and spin.

It can put any girl in a good mood.

Enough said .... have a great Sunday!

Shoe of the Week

This Shoe of the Week comes from Anthropologie.  I was randomly shopping one day and I knew in an instant that these would become an obsession so I bookmarked the page (which is never a good idea because the obsession never dies.)

I love the color-blocking and the mix of fabrications and that red heel! Insane!

The only thing I don't love is that price. Really?! Almost 500 dollars for a pair of funky heels? It isn't like I could wear these everyday without someone wondering -- so i know I wouldn't get my money's worth. They won't be entering my closet anytime soon or ever, but I can still dream about how beautiful they would look on my feet this fall.

Shoe of the Week

Better late than never...

Last week's shoe of the week is .... drum roll please...

all images via Nordstom.com

As soon as I saw it I thought "need!!" but then I waited and thought... "is this kinda ugly in an awesome-I-need-this-shoe" kinda way?!

I loved the mix of colors and the unique rug-look to the texture. However the more I look at it the more I think of high school and the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream-coat. Reds and browns and blues and greens and golds... and you get the idea.

Now you might ask if this reference to high school musical memories might make me not want to wear these beauties on my feet? Heck no... now i want them even more. So I can sing Joseph songs and skip around. Done and done.

Where can you get these ?! nordstrom.com

How much would they cost? $124.95 USD

Get them!!

Now we can all wear them and skip.

Who is with me?!

Anyone... anyone...

I promise to embarrass only myself.

Long Time Old Friend....

So it feels like forever for me since I have done an outfit post. I have been taking photos almost everyday but in typical Emily fashion I lost the camera cord and then of course I kept forgetting to look for it. Oops. Well, I finally found it!! It was lost amongst all of my clothes and shoes. At least that is a pretty awesome place to be lost.

This outfit was from a week or so ago. It was insanely hot outside so I opted to take photos inside in an air conditioned room-- can you blame me?! Plus I now have two little kittens who follow me everywhere and I was afraid they would escape onto the balcony... and then that would be a scary far 8 story drop. So instead of a brick wall -- I present to you a bright sunny yellow wall.

Today I wore a whole bunch of old favorites that I dug out of the back of my closet.  Oldies but goodies that I have held onto for years.  Sometimes I think of giving them away, but that would be like giving away some of my favorite children. It just wouldn't be right.

Jeans: American Eagle
(super old but they just brought back the trouser style)

T-Shirt: J Crew outlets

Necklace: Candies at Kohls

This is Bobbins.

This is Buttons.

I have been trying to use accessories more lately. I have lots of beautiful fun costume necklaces that have hiding in drawers. Well they are out and ready to be shown off. I have been trying to pick a necklace and then design the outfit around that one piece. I use to do that with shoes but now I plan to challenge myself to use jewelry more. It is time for this shoe lover to branch out more.

During the shoot the kitties kinda stole the show and kept jumping into the photos.
But I can't be too upset.. they are just too cute! I am sure they will make many more appearances on the blog in the future.
